Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival - Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and after finalizing with the formalities, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your accommodation for an overnight. Overnight: Hilton Gardens Inn Meal plan: Dinner

Day 2: Nairobi City Tour During this city tour, you will visit the Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage which was started by the famous naturalist David Sheldrick. You will get to see young Elephants interacting with their keepers while they feed them and as they take mud baths. This is wonderful way to get up close to them which is not always the case or safe in the wild. Thereafter you will visit the Ngong hills which feature the Famous Karen Blixen National Museum that was brought to map by the award-winning film – Out of Africa, before moving on to the nearby jock Leslie-Melville Nature Education Centre which is a sanctuary for the Rothschild’s Giraffe. Feeding Giraffes from the central feeding platform is one of the famous activities here and getting to learn more about their way of life. Overnight: Hilton Gardens Inn Meal plan: Full board

Day 3: Transfer - Amboseli National Park Drive time: +/- 4 hours’ This day, you will drive to Amboseli National Park which will be your home for the next 3 nights. Alternatively, you may choose to fly from Nairobi to the park. A number of activities can be enjoyed here some of which include; Game drives, Nature walks, Hike to the observation hill that allows you to have great views of the park, birding and boat cruise on Lake Amboseli where the park derives its name. Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s top tourist destinations being second after Masai Mara. It covers an area of 392 square Kilometers and is located in the Southern part of the country at the Tanzania border. The Park offers magnificent views of Mountain Kilimanjaro which is the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Besides, Mount Kilimanjaro, it home to the largest herds of Elephants and the best place to get up close to these African giants. Other wildlife present in the park includes; Buffaloes, Giraffes, Zebras, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Wildebeests and Antelopes. Not forgetting Lake Amboseli where boat cruises are done with great game viewing and a visit to the Masai community. Overnight: Amboseli Sopa Lodge Meal plan: Full board

Day 4: Game Drive & Masai Cultural Village – Amboseli National Park Begin with an early morning game drive after your delicious breakfast, traversing through the open savannah woodland. This is the perfect time to catch a glimpse of the beautiful landscapes and abundant wildlife, as they are just waking up and the dust has not yet risen. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to visit the local Masai people, who are the inhabitants of the area. This will give you an insight into their unique culture, including their traditional dances and way of life, including clothing and food. After lunch, you will spend the night at a lodge. Day 5: Balloon Safari Adventure & Boat Trip on Lake Amboseli In the early morning, you will go on a hot air balloon ride, which will give you a bird’s-eye view of the park and its wildlife. You will be able to see the vast savannah grasslands, and the elephants, lions and other wild animals roaming below. Later in the day, you will go on a boat cruise on one of the park’s lakes or swamps, which will give you a chance to see different types of birds and aquatic animals in their natural habitat. This is a great way to relax and take in the beauty of the park from a different perspective. The day will end with an overnight stay at a lodge. Overnight: Amboseli Sopa Lodge Meal plan: Full board

Day 6: Transfer & Crescent Island - Lake Naivasha National Park Drive Time: +/- 5 hours’ After an early morning breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha with an en-route brief stop at the great rift valley view point. Arrive at the park in time for check in and lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will enjoy and leisurely boat cruise to the crescent Island which one of the private Island Sanctuary in the park and often called Naivasha’s best-kept secret. Later return to your accommodation for an overnight. Lake Naivasha National Park derives its name from the fresh water Lake Naivasha which means rough water by the locals. It covers an area of 140 square Kilometers and is part of the Great Rift Valley features. The Park is gifted with a good number of habitats like the Acacia trees along the lake banks, Mount Longonot which is an extinct volcano and the seasonal Lake Naivasha. The Park has over 100 species of grazers and hunters. Lions, leopards as well as Hippos, Giraffes, Zebras and Buffaloes among others are also present. Day 7: Transfer & Game drive - Masai Mara National Reserve Drive Time: +/- 4 hours’ Depart for Masai Mara National Reserve to arrive in time for check in and an unwind before you head out for an evening game drive. The Masai Mara National Reserve is located in South Western Kenya and is the largest national game reserve in Kenya. It was named after the Masai people who are the indigenous inhabitants of the area. It is by far one of the popular protected areas on the continent. It is famous for its exceptional population of wildlife including the Big five; Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant and Rhino. Other wildlife includes, Cheetah, Zebra, Topi, Impala. Masai Mara National Reserve is also famous for the Wildebeest migration that brought it to the map as one of the seven wonders of Africa. This migration usually happens during the months of June to November. It is where thousands of wildebeests, zebras and other wildlife crossover from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Masai Mara in search of food and water. Day 9: Full Day Game drive – Masai Mara National Reserve After breakfast, you'll leave for a full-day game drive. The amazing wildlife experience continues. On the plains are large herds of herbivores grazing, cheetahs, and leopards hiding in their locations. Masai Mara is the heart of Kenyan tourism with large species of mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and over 400 bird species recorded on the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). Your picnic lunch will be at the Mara River migration point. After your picnic lunch, you will have some rest before embarking on your late afternoon game drive until late in the evening. Day 10: Flight Transfer - Nairobi You'll have an early morning game drive in search of animals killing and eating. Later, you'll come back to the lodge for breakfast and then check out of the camp.
